Based on our Monitor Barn series and inspired by the Rocky Mountain West, the Bald Hill Barn has plenty of rustic charm and an incredible timber frame design. This custom timber frame party barn has a 60' x 60' footprint, with a 32' x 60' main barn and two 14' x 60' lean-tos, and stands approximately 35' high. Each lean to has a 10' open section, and 50' of enclosed space. A mix of reclaimed barn board throughout the interior and exterior, custom black powder coated accents, and LED lighting bring a rustic and refined feel to this barn. A full bar, seating area, walk-in cooler, workshop area, and a gallery style loft with an expansive window are just a few of the features that this barn offers. With over 26,000 board feet of Douglas fir, this timber frame party barn is breathtaking.
We spared no detail when it came to this barn, both inside and out. Each gable end of this barn has a resawn exterior timber frame truss accent with a cow catcher's peak, providing an 11' overhang. At the top of the barn, you’ll find a custom 12' timber frame cupola with reclaimed barn board siding and plenty of windows. A dormer in the back of the barn pulls your attention—this 14' dormer has an expansive glass window, providing a stunning view of the rolling hills from the loft. A massive 12' x 14' Spanish Cedar overhead door leads inside, where this barn is ready to host family and friends for gatherings year-round. Read on to check out all this barn has to offer.
We used massive Douglas fir timbers to create the design for this barn. 12x12 posts, a 20' rafter plate height, and impressive hammer beam trusses support this barn and catch your eye as soon as you step inside. LED chandeliers and LED uplighting in the rafter bays shine across the barn and gleam off of the floors, which have been polished to 800 grit for a glass-like appearance. There’s a seating area up front, and farther back you’ll find a full bar set in front of a Boston Blend stone accent wall. Each lean-to offers additional space for storage. One lean-to shows off tractors, bikes, and snowmobiles, with a live edge timber frame workbench in the back. The other lean to has a built-in 6' x 12' walk-in cooler concealed by a Spanish cedar sliding barn door. Leading upstairs is a custom timber frame staircase, 5' wide and with 3" thick reclaimed oak stair treads, lined with one-of-a-kind twisted corten steel stair railings. The gallery loft offers more seating and a ping pong table, with oak flooring and a gas fireplace. Here you’ll get an incredible view of the rolling hills out of the expansive glass window. Black powder coated hardware throughout the interior matches the decorative steel straps on the hammer beam trusses and the custom powder coated baseplates. The Bald Hill Barn is an ideal gathering spot year-round, thanks to the radiant heating in the floors, mini split systems for cooling, and full SIP insulation.
