It’s The Barn Yard’s 40^th year at The Big E! Tour our best-yet display featuring the newest offerings for 2024, including the Victorian Cottage with Modern Dormer, Grand Victorian Cape Garage with timber frame accents, Off-Grid Solar Cabin in partnership with Earthlight Tech, Newport Garage, Classic Greenhouse, Classic Studio, and Victorian Poolside Bar, plus options like the slat wall storage solution and new skylight with motion-activated LEDs. We partnered with our neighbors at Earthlight Technologies to create a unique building for this year’s Big E Display: the Off-Grid Solar Cabin. This cabin package combines our 14' x 20' Grand Victorian Cape Shed with a timber frame overhang, and a solar package from Earthlight, creating a self sufficient cabin capable of off-the-grid living. On display at the Big E this year, you’ll find a standout Newport Garage with pine siding and timber frame accents. This one and a half story custom garage is a landmark building available fully built on site to customers in New England. A unique choice of doors on this 24' x 58' Plymouth Carriage Barn creates the illusion of there being no doors at all. Four 9' x 8' hinged, insulated double barn doors sit flush with the reclaimed barn board siding. Inside, glulam tie beams span 24', preventing the need for center posts. Cars are parked inside with plenty of space to spare. The customer opted for a partial loft, which overlooks the main barn and creates more vertical space within. Read on for a photo tour.
